Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Marshall Brothers Pty Ltd (trading as Itino) collects, uses, holds, and discloses personal information obtained from users (“Users”) of our website and mobile app (“Platform”), including TripEasy.app. It applies to all products and services offered by us through the Platform.

Why We Collect and Use Information

We collect, hold, use, and disclose personal information to operate accounts; store and display trip plans, photos and trip descriptions; let you share trips, send invites, or publish a showcase page; provide support; keep the Platform secure; measure how the Platform is used; improve TripEasy.app; and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising or remarketing.

Personal Identification Information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in various ways so that the Platform can operate effectively, including when they create an account, sign in, or use features, services, or resources on our Platform. This may include your name, email address, sign-in identifiers, profile photo, trip plans, photos or trip details you share on the platform. If you sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google or Apple), that provider may give us your name, email address, profile photo, and a provider account identifier. Users can visit public pages without an account. Personal identification information will only be collected if you submit it or use account features. Not providing us such information may limit access to certain features.

Technical and Usage Information

When you use the Platform we may collect technical information such as browser type, device and computer details, operating system, app version, and which pages or screens you open.

Web Browser Cookies

Our Platform may use cookies to help the website work and to measure how it is used. Cookies may be placed on Users' devices for record-keeping or tracking purposes. Users can modify browser settings to refuse cookies or receive alerts when cookies are sent, though this may affect certain functionalities of the Platform.

Firebase

We use Google Firebase to operate the Platform. That includes sign-in, storing account and trip data, storing images, and hosting the website. Personal information is held in our Firebase project (authentication, database, storage, and hosting). Google processes this information for us as a service provider. It may be stored or accessed outside Australia, including in the United States, and possibly other countries where Google operates infrastructure.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics on our website to understand how people use the Site (for example, which pages are viewed, including spotlight pages). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies and may collect information such as the pages you visit, how you reached the Site, device and browser type, approximate location, and an identifier stored in a cookie.

We use this to measure site use and improve TripEasy.app. We do not use Google Analytics to identify you by name, and we do not send names or email addresses to Google Analytics.

Google processes this information. It may be stored or accessed outside Australia, including in the United States.

You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser (some site features may not work).

How We Protect Your Information

We implement reasonable security practices for collection, storage, and processing to help prevent unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction of personal information, including usernames, credentials, and account data. Access is limited to people who need it to operate the Platform.

Sharing Your Personal Information

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal identification information. We may share information with service providers who help us operate the Platform, including Google when we use Firebase and Google Analytics as described above. If you share a trip, invite someone, or publish a showcase page, other people can see the content you chose to share. Copies that others have already seen or saved may remain available even if you have left that trip. We may also share information if the law requires it. We do not use Google Analytics advertising features such as remarketing or Google Signals.

How Long We Keep Information

We keep account and trip data while your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete or de-identify personal information we no longer need. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time, or where we are required by law to keep it.

Access, Correction and Deletion

You can email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete your account information. We will respond as soon as we reasonably can. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time, or where we are required to keep it.

Automated Decisions

We do not use a computer program to make decisions that significantly affect you based solely on your personal information. If that changes, we will update this policy.

Complaints

If you have a privacy complaint, please email us. Tell us what happened and what you would like us to do. We will investigate and respond as soon as we reasonably can, usually within 30 days.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Updated policies will include a revised date at the bottom of the page. We encourage Users to review this page periodically to stay informed about how we protect their information.
